About uS

Ace 2 Deuce is a Community Tennis Association with the goal to promote and grow tennis among the community for both experienced and beginners. Ace 2 holds annual events and programs in the surrounding area. We are here for anyone wanting to learn, play, or become involved with tennis. We are also a National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) program, validated and endorsed by the United States Tennis Association (USTA), that provides unique tennis, educational, and growth opportunities, which collectively serve to strengthen character and open a pathway to success for less advantaged and at-risk children living in and surrounding areas of Jackson, MS.

Our mission at Ace 2 Deuce Community Tennis Association (Ace 2 Deuce CTA) is to ignite positive transformation in the lives of children aged 4 to 18 in underserved communities through the dynamic fusion of tennis, education, and social development. We strive to cultivate well-rounded individuals who not only excel on the court but also embrace essential life skills. By participating in our free and low-cost NJTL (National Junior Tennis and Learning) programming, Ace 2 Deuce CTA kids demonstrate greater self-control, self-esteem, and self-awareness, preparing them for success. Ace 2 Deuce CTA provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for more than 75 kids annually and growing.

Ace-Level Tennis Excellence: Ace 2 Deuce CTA is committed to imparting the love of tennis. We provide top-tier coaching, state-of-the-art facilities, and a nurturing environment where children develop athletic prowess, discipline, and commitment.
Education Empowerment: Education is the cornerstone of our mission. Through personalized tutoring, mentorship programs, and access to educational resources, we empower children to excel academically, opening doors to a world of opportunities.
Social Development at the Core: Our programs extend beyond tennis, emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect. Through collaborative activities, we foster social development, ensuring that every child becomes a positive and contributing member of their community.
Leadership in Action: Ace 2 Deuce CTA believes in cultivating leaders. Our programs provide opportunities for children to take on leadership roles, building self-confidence and instilling the belief that each child has the capacity to make a positive impact in their community.
Discipline and Character Building: We instill discipline and character virtues through tennis, education, and mentorship. These qualities are not only crucial on the court but form the foundation for personal growth and success in all aspects of life.
Pathway to Opportunities: Our programs serve as a gateway to opportunities. By connecting children with mentors, scholarships, and extracurricular activities, we create a tangible pathway for them to explore their potential and pursue diverse opportunities beyond our programs.

Ace 2 Deuce CTA/NJTL offers youth tennis programs throughout the year for children and teens, regardless of family income levels. Programs are open to everyone who wants to play and learn. Ace 2 Deuce CTA/NJTL will never turn a child away due to financial circumstances.

Ace 2 Deuce CTA/NJTL strives to keep children healthy and active. The program serves as a foundation from which to build self-esteem, encourage youth interest in physical activity and foster a lifelong love of the sport of tennis.

Achievements & Activities

2023 Battlefield Spinners (10u) girls team took 2nd place in Spring State Tournament.
2023 Presently Growing to include 50 kids to participate per community program offered.
2022 partnered with JPS (Jackson Puplic School District)
In 2022 Battlefield Spinners Jr. 10u Girls Tennis Team earned 2nd place in State Championships
Nov 2022 held a community can food drive.
In 2021 Battlefield Aces & Deuces Jr. 18u Girls & Boys Tennis Team advanced to State Championships

Come work with us

Ace 2 Deuce CTA/NJTL is always in need of volunteers to assist with a number of activities:

Help lead and assist with tennis drills at events like our annual Rally Day and during our summer session.
Event assistance (staffing the NJTL booth at community events).
Assisting with our afterschool program in the classroom and/or on the court.

We have worked hard over the past several years to develop a program that offers our membership the opportunity to provide aid/assistance to individuals and communities in need.
