SUMMER SEASON

Play with ACE 2 DEUCE CTA!

The 2024 Summer Tennis Program will take place on Monday through Friday and Saturday mornings at Dorothy Vest Tennis center @ Battlefield Park. The season features will consist of on-court and off-court programming. The on-court portion is designed to develop tennis skills through footwork, movement, activities, and games. The off-court portion features activities to build resilience, relationships with peers and coaches, and foster a sense of community. Ace 2 Deice CTA will ensure a Positive Youth Development (PYD) environment to enhance the Social-Emotional growth of ALL of our students.

  • We provide scholarships for qualifying participants. Call Lp in our office at 601-526-3988 for more information.
  • There are two locations to choose from for our classes (see below). Players may only participate at the site for which they registered. All two locations have slightly different dates and times, so please read closely.
  • Level 1, 2 and 3 classes at Dorothy Vest Tennis Center @Battlefield Park (DVTC) will be held on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from Jun. 23 to Sept. 16.
  • Level 1 classes will be held on Saturday mornings from Jun. 23 to Sept. 16.
  • There will be two separate Level 1 classes for 4 through 5 year olds at the two locations.
  • Level 1 classes are designed for players who have either just started playing tennis or have limited experience and are still working on being able to rally with another player. You can find more about our level system here.
  • Level 2 & 3 classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Dorothy Vest Tennis Center only. These classes will consist of match play (with instruction).
  • There are no refunds.
  • All participants and family members must follow the policies and procedures of the facilities.
  • There will be no tryouts for Levels 2-3 classes. You can sign up your child for a Level 1 (beginner), Level 2 (intermediate) or Level 3 (advanced) class. Note: We strongly encourage parents to visit our NJTL Level System page to see the skills needed to be successful in our Levels 2 and 3 match play classes before registering your child in an upper-level class. If you are unsure of your child’s ability, it would be best to err on the side of signing up for the lower-level class.
  • To help maintain the integrity of the Levels 2-3 match play classes and to make sure the players have similar skill sets, we reserve the right to move the player to a lower-level class after the first week.
  • Note: ALL Levels 2 and 3 players must be USTA junior members (it’s free!) and register on Serve Tennis.
